Are you a start up or early stage company that has developed, or are developing a great innovative product or service?

If you are, how do you catch investor attention and keep it long enough to tell your story successfully?

The Solent Innovation & Growth Team is delighted to bring you an intensive workshop which will take you through the ‘Innovation Storyboard’, a tool that complements your business plan when looking for investment. In the workshop you will review what the elements of your innovation story are and how you would talk about them to different people, be they investors, business partners or customers.

Event outline:

Dragon’s Den examples will be used to illustrate a non-starter of a business, a great business and a ‘false positive’ – an idea turned down by the Dragons. In addition to this, a case study will be used to enable you to build a storyboard in groups; the brave can build one for their own innovation business.

The presenter:

David Battye runs Third Coast Consultancy, (www.thirdcoast.co.uk) which helps build innovation businesses. He has worked in many businesses and disciplines getting new projects to market.

Based on his experience and learning from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of California, he has created the Causeway Innovation Method which answers the question ‘I’ve got a great innovation idea, now what?’
