Over at The Guardian, the CBI is reporting that high street sales remain weak, as US house prices continue to plummet.
The Times says that no less than Barack Obama is trying to convince Tesco’s to be nice to its American employees, as the ECB is now facing inflation and stagnation in equal measure.
Elsewhere, The Independent dwells on fears that energy bills will skyrocket, while cheapo supermarketeers Lidls and Aldi coin it in as shoppers become ever more stingy.
And finally, The Register says that easyJet is threatening to sue Expedia for flogging its flights online, while Nokia has paid a huge sum to take over smartphone software developer Symbian.
