Next, The Guardian reports that California has won the rights to host a major electric vehicle manufacturing plant, while the UK Credit Crunch tightens its grip.

Over at The Telegraph, economists are raising the alarm about a possible recession, while an ex-BBC journalist argues for some major reforms (and cost-cutting) at the organisation.

Meanwhile, The Independent says brewer and pub owner Greene King is getting battered by the faltering economy, while the ECB has been forced to raise interest rates to 4.25%.
