Next, The Telegraph says that there are rumours Gordon Brown jinxed Lehman’s when he opened its London offices, while Barclays is circling the bank’s corpse with an eye on buying up what’s left.
The Guardian follows with news that the price of oil is also plummeting, while US inflation is in decline.
Then, The Times reports that house prices have fallen for the ninth consecutive month so far – but that isn’t stopping ASDA launching a supermarket price war.
