Second Fridays Business, Science & Entrepreneurial Networking

Second Fridays, is an independent business, science and entrepreneurial networking group, for people who realise the potential of successful networking with the objective of bringing together like-minded owner-managers for a couple of hours of social exchange, enabling the development of business relationships and future friendships.

We felt there is a need for informal business networking events in Romsey, Southampton and surrounding areas that compliments more formal business networks offering education and training and those that are available on a subscription basis - one which would be subscription free and of interest to business entrepreneurs working in the area.

Second Fridays is run and sponsored by Consult-igma Ltd, a scientific support consultancy who wish to encourage both business entrepreneurs and scientists to join our networking events; which differentiates us from other purely business networking groups.

No booking necessary, just turn up with lots of business cards!

Spreading The Good News about your Business - Copywriting with Jane Buswell

Are your adverts, brochures, flyers, direct mail, press releases, newsletters websites doing what you need them to do?

Do you struggle to find the words to put yourself across in an engaging, enthusiastic and memorable way which captures attention?

Why not come along to this workshop to gain a broader understanding of copywriting from a successful copywriter and marketeer?

Every communication that comes from your organisation is a marketing opportunity, so what you say and how you say it is business critical. Regardless of what you're writing - from a glossy corporate brochure to the humble customer feedback form - all sales and marketing copy has to be carefully crafted to make people respond. And you want them to be responding to you and NOT to your competitors!

Basically you cannot afford to write badly

This workshop is not about grammar and spelling, it's about using words in a way that make an impact. Fast paced and packed with examples, this workshop is one you really can't afford to miss...

Since 2003, Jane Buswell has brought her marketing expertise to literally hundreds of businesses from one man bands to larger organisations. Her popular and accessible marketing workshops have been delivered for organisations including Business Link, CIBAS, PETA, Southern Entrepreneurs and Winchester University.

As Hampshire's Business Mum, Jane has mentored many and varied entrepreneurs including start up students funded by Winchester University. She has also provided lively and focused presentations for many organisation including The Federation of Small Business and North Hants Enterprise as well as for Wired Wessex.

Her expertise is in simple step marketing that works, indeed she has been referred to as "the marketing consultants' marketing consultant!" She is also known as the Postcard Queen for her recognisably quirky marketing postcards. Take advantage of marketing hints and tips on her popular blog http://businessfulcrum.blogspot.com/ as well as on Twitter via @janebuswell.
